As part of the Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS) team, you'll help develop* the next generation of more intelligent, more integrated and more reliable solutions that enhance aircraft safety and performance in the most rigorous flight conditions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis, research, design and development of materials and their related fabrication and application processes
  • Develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.
  • Support Standard Work processes across all programs to deliver consistent results.
  • Assist in the creation of “Product Family Mappings” for product materials
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Programs, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to achieve optimal design solutions.
  • Apply principles of chemistry, physics and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes

Qualification:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical, Materials, or other related Engineering fields from an accredited institution
  • Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant coursework for Materials Engineering: Manufacturing Processes, Physical Metallurgy, Corrosion, etc.

Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical, Materials, or other related Engineering fields from an accredited institution
