The CEMEA Commercial Solution Management team is a dynamic support function to the Enterprise Sales Organization in the CEMEA sub-region, focusing primarily on delivering commercial support on large sales opportunities with existing strategic accounts. This team encompasses the execution of best practice for Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) transactions. 

Job Role and Responsibilities:

This intern position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the team, working across most of the subject areas during the 12-month internship and learning one of the fastest growing yet most complex roles in VMware.  This role provides the opportunity to gain various skills, further develop current skills and work alongside each team member for a specific period.

Exceptional operational execution is at the heart of this team’s deliverables, which guarantees an interesting yet demanding opportunity, bringing with it the option for raising the Intern’s personal profile with the wider Enterprise Sales Organisation.
The intern will receive substantial guidance, feedback, and mentoring from the team to help develop their analytical, creative and communication skills in a fast-paced technology environment. The intern also could take ownership of specific initiatives that contribute to the success of the Commercial Solution Management team.

In addition to the core role VMware Staines has an extremely active Intern community which offers a great peer support network and the ability to become involved in organising charity events, knowledge sharing and learning opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support Commercial Solutions Managers in their day to day activities including working on the biggest and most important deals in sub-region
  • Produce customer financial business cases on behalf of Field Sales (ROI & ROCE)
  • Create commercially oriented customer reports (spend history, inventory reports)
  • Produce solution Return On Investment (ROI) calculations for customer technology scenarios
  • Analyse customer inventories (install base) to determine up-sell and cross-sell opportunities

Required Skills:

  • First rate analytical skills
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel skills (Excel programming desirable), strong Power Point skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Skills:

  • MS Office skills
  • Fluency in German is very strong plus
  • Fascination with information technology and its use in business
