Job Role:

As a summer intern, you'll be contributing to the development of the VMware Windows WDDM graphics driver delivered as part of the VMware VMTools release. This offers an opportunity an intern to be exposed to the VMware graphics stack from a Windows guest graphics driver to the host side implementation of our SVGA graphics device.

On the WDDM graphics team, you will be responsible for learning the VMware development process, coding and testing a project deliverable for the WDDM driver, and participating in development discussions.

Required Skills:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Coursework in some of the following: Operating Systems or Computer Graphics
  • Knowledge in one or more of the programming languages: C, C++
  • School and/or industry projects involving significant design and development

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience programming with the Direct3D API.
  • Experience with writing graphics applications.
  • Exposure to openGL
  • Exposure to development on Windows
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
